Is it possible, while taking inspiration from a foreign culture, to do so with respect for foreign heritage?
To be inspired, even to reproduce cultural codes belonging to cultures different from theirs can be surprising.
While some prefer to speak of "inspiration", others seem to warn about the potential "appropriation" of the other's culture. What motivates those who take up existing cultural codes in order to do something else?

The meeting with Mr. Mario MATTIONI will determine my professional career. Passionate about archeology, he trained me in the footsteps of the Amerindians by excavating in the north and then in the south of Martinique. It was in 1970 that he became Director of the Archaeological Museum which opened its doors in 1971.
After several training sessions, I worked there as an animator guide, then responsible for the archaeological reserve.
After having passed competitions, I became a Conservation Assistant at the Museum of Archeology and Prehistory of Martinique.
In 2008 the Association Les Soupirs d'Art asked me to take over the presidency.
My passion, my knowledge, my meetings throughout my career allow me today to bring to the members of the association as well as to a wider public information concerning The First Inhabitants of Martinique
